REDHY’s project partner, CENMAT, has successfully completed Milestone 4 in the development of advanced membrane and ionomer technologies. Through an extensive process of polymer synthesis and formulation optimization, the milestone requirements for the PEM and PEI validation phase have been met, demonstrating the capabilities of the newly developed materials.
Key accomplishments include:
-
Conductivity: 70 mS·cm⁻¹
-
Water Uptake: Below 55%
-
Ion Exchange Capacity: 0.9 meq·g⁻¹
-
Mechanical Properties: Tensile strength > 32 MPa, elongation at break 250%
These results, outlined in Deliverable 3.1, mark significant progress in the development of high-performance materials for energy storage and filtration applications.
